VII Patrimonio Gastrónomico de Ibiza
From January 19th to March 25th (Ibiza)
During these dates, a total of 10 restaurants in the capital of the island (Ca n' Alfredo, Es Cigarral, La Cava,...) will offer themed menus at the price of 18€ in the seventh edition of this gastronomic event. The proposals are diverse and you can find menus of traditional Ibizan dishes, national or international. All of them have a common denominator: to taste the typical cuisine of cities or countries that have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Yes, like Ibiza!
Every Thursday from January 25th to March 15th (Santa Eulalia)
A dozen restaurants of Santa Eulalia in Ibiza (Rincón de Pepe, Can Cosmi, Royalty,...) offer menus at half price (yes, a 50% discount!) during these dates with the exception of March 1st. Not only that, but you can also park for free in the blue zone or pay car parks by presenting the restaurant ticket. And if that were not enough, participating in the Gastrojueves of Santa Eulalia will also allow you to go to the movies with another 50% discount. The initiative starts from local commerce with the support of the City Council to promote the already vibrant gastronomy of the town of Santa Eulalia.
"Pintxa Sant Antoni" 2018
Every Thursday from February 22nd to March 29th (San Antonio)
The tenth edition of this popular event will take place until the end of March in San Antonio. The gastronomic event features the "pintxos", the best expression of miniature cuisine to enjoy with family and friends of the proposals of a total of 25 participants throughout the town. You can taste a pintxo and a drink for 2,5€ or a tapa and a drink for 4€. Among the restaurants participating in this edition are Can Gust, Es Nàutic, Rita's Cantina or the Chiringuito des Port.
IV Feria del "Gerret" de Ibiza
March 3rd (Santa Eulalia)
If you want to taste the jaurel or "gerret" (as this type of fish is known in Ibiza), you can't miss the fourth edition of this fair. On Saturday March 3 the town of Santa Eulalia fills its streets with stalls where you can enjoy this small delight of the sea at affordable prices and accompanied by live music. The event starts at 11 a. m. and is organised by the Fishermen's Association of Ibiza and San Antonio in collaboration with charitable associations. You will also find exhibitions and contests and direct sales of gerret.
Festival Gastronómico de la Sepia
March 24th (San Juan)
Peix Nostrum, an Ibizan organization created to protect and promote Ibiza's fish, organizes the Gastronomic Festival of Sepia on March 24th in the town of San Juan. The initiative was launched so that both residents and tourists can enjoy the local product and encourage its regular consumption. During the event you can enjoy cuttlefish in many ways and recipes, as well as chat with the fishermen of the organization to tell you the secrets of this type of fishing. A unique opportunity to delight yourself with a fresh, local and, above all, delicious product!
Ibiza Sabor 2018
From April 6th to May 27th (Ibiza)
The Consell de Ibiza and the PIMEEF (small and medium-sized businesses of Ibiza and Formentera) are organising the eighth edition of Ibiza Sabor, a gastronomic conference where many restaurants aim to offer local products linked to the land. During these dates you will be able to taste the most emblematic dishes of Ibizan gastronomy: from "sofrit pagés" to "bullit de peix", passing through typical desserts such as "flaó" or "greixonera". A whole experience for the senses that will be complemented with "gastroeventos", guided tours and open days of the culinary referents of Ibiza.
Feria de la Langosta, la Gamba y el Pescado de Ibiza
April 14th (San Antonio)
SSant Antoni hosts yet another year the Fira de la Llagosta, la Gamba i del Peix d'Eivissa to showcase the most precious fish and seafood from Ibiza and Formentera. This event will be starring lobster, shrimp and rockfish such as' red', sirvia or' déntol'. You can also try shallow fish caught in small boats with traditional fishing gear such as the' palangró' (palangrillo) and the' tresmall' (thremallo). The initiative arose to get to know the star products of the Pitiusian coasts and their gastronomy in a playful and didactic way.
Concurso de Arroz Marinero "Peix Nostrum"
April 21st (Ibiza)
The third edition of the sea rice competition organised by Peix Nostrum will take place on 21 April in the city of Ibiza. As every year, the youngest children will be able to enjoy workshops related to the marine environment from the morning and fishing boats can be visited in the port of Ibiza. The competition will take place between 12:00 and 14:00 and different groups will participate to compete for the best seafood rice, which you can obviously taste to draw your own conclusions. The competition is part of the activities organised by the Town Hall to promote Ibiza's marine traditions.
Feria Gastronómica del Calamar
October 27th (San Carlos)
The fourth edition of the Feria Gastrónomica del Calamar will be held again in San Carlos. Last year more than 5,000 squid tapas made in 22 different ways could be tasted. In addition to the fantastic gastronomic atmosphere in the village, you can also enjoy concerts and activities for the youngest. A fantastic opportunity to spend a day with the family, being able to consume local products elaborated in traditional and innovative ways. Because Ibiza is gastronomy!
