The municipality of Sant Joan de Labritja is deeply rooted in the traditions of the Ibizan people. The urban centres that make up this municipality are small rural villages that have kept their culture and folkllore alive, with a special interest.
The preservation of the environment, the cultivation of the fields, the promotion of cultural and heritage values and the conservation of traditional Ibizan architecture, show the esteem of this municipality for its own culture.
In this way, to the unique attractions of the surroundings of this locality are added others that reliably collect pieces of its history such as the patron saint festivities of each of its parishes, the dances in wells and fountains, the procession of steps of Holy Thursday or the festivities in honor of the Virgin of Carmen.
Witnessing to this defence of the autochthonous are also its architectural constructions in force in churches, wells and fountains, rural houses or defence towers.
Folklore also has a special prominence and is therefore one of the highlights of all the key dates of the municipality that travels in time to the sounds of the music of dance pagés.
